The Best Ways of Developing a Lasting Loving Relationship: Time Management & Goals with Oprah & Friends

The Best Ways of Developing a Lasting Loving Relationship Time Management & Goals
by Dennis Schleicher
http://www.TantricTalk.blogspot.com
Have you dated “much”? How many Intimate relationships have you had in your lifetime? Are you still wondering why all those past relationships didn’t hold up to the tests of time, only now to leave you with apprehension and caution as to whether or not you could open your heart up again, to let the flow of love through your heart by attracting the same relationship again? Will my love succeed this time, you may ask yourself?
On a much deeper layer you must know why you act the way you do? As the other day I had a client ask me. “Why should she get up in the morning?” I told this particular person we need to work on being proactive in taking steps and actions to aggressively peel back the layers of hidden desires that lead to self worth and self acceptance.

Dennis's Recommendations

• Start a journal, either in a Word document or utilizing digital recording technology.
• Pinpoint three goals you would like to achieve in 2010.
• Narrow those goals down for morning, afternoon and evening exercises.

Example:
If one of my goals for 2010 was writing & publish a book on relationship advice. I would utilize time management by setting aside a half hour in the morning a half hour in the afternoon and a full hour in the evening. Now you've taking a large task and simplified it by dividing and conquering your time equals control ultimately leading to a more empowering life. Think about it? You've dedicated two full hour's by dividing your time into three sessions. With a total of two hours spent on writing a manuscript. Now times that by 365 days in the year and you have a total of 730 hours dedicated to writing your next New York Times bestseller.

So when it comes to developing a lasting relationship, utilize the examples of devoting X. number of hours per day, dividing that by three, separating your commitments. When focusing your time, a little in the morning, some more in the afternoon, and even more in your evening hrs, whether you're with a partner or by yourself this works, if you're single, trying to rekindle an old flame, or starting from a clean slate. The most important advice I could give anyone that calls or has a session with me: “never compromised your integrity or morals, go with your gut feelings.” Sometimes you need an objective opinion, either from a friend, a colleague, or a professional. Trust me, if I don't know the answer. I'll point you in the right direction.

Gay Fathers and Husbands of Ohio Support Group

If you’re a gay or bi-sexual man who has been in relationships with women – you’re not alone. Gay Fathers and Husbands understands … and maybe we can help each other.

You are not alone...we understand.

The Gay Fathers and Husbands group is an informal association of gay and bi-sexual men who may have in common current or past marriages or partnered relationships with women. Some individuals may have natural or adopted children from these relationships. Members of the Gay Fathers and Husbands group meet monthly to discuss issues and needs held in common, and to offer support to one another by sharing experiences, encouragement, and hope. Friends and supporters are normally welcome at the meetings, and guests may be invited to address special topics. The group determines the purpose and direction of meetings. Attendance will range from as few as 8 to as many as 30 or more. Meetings are casual – no dues. GFAH has been meeting in the Akron Area since 1990.

"Live your life so that your children can tell their children that you not only stood for something wonderful-you acted on it." --Dan Zadra Gay Fathers & Husbands of Ohio

Our group attempts to:

  • Provide a support and communications network for gay fathers;
  • Encourage cooperative action in promoting the common interests of gay fathers and their families;
  • Provide opportunities for social interaction between gay fathers, their children, and friends;
  • Promote and sponsor activities that present a positive image of gay fathers and to encourage acceptance of alternative parenting.

Participants come from all over NE Ohio and Western PA. Members represent all ages, jobs, backgrounds and stages of life -- including young men with newborns to older men with grandchildren ... and some participants have no children. Some men are married or separated or divorced. GFAH is not a dating club or a religious group. Being "out" is not a requirement for participating at meetings, and all members agree to respect the privacy of individuals who attend the meetings.

"A Note from Dennis" Wow, I stumbled across ‘Gay Fathers & Husbands of Ohio’ on the Internet, when searching on Google. I wish every state had an organization like this to represent all the positive aspects of gay parenting. My dream is that in time, every state and county will have an organization like Gay Fathers of Ohio. All it takes is for one parent to have a dream and to be consistent. Gay Husbands Are Proud Of Andy Cohen on Bravo

Gay Husbands Are Proud Of Andy Cohen on Bravo

The growing popularity of NBC's Bravo senior executives Andy Cohen is showing the men in my support group, that it's okay to be who you are. That it's okay to be truthful to your wives about your sexual orientation. I see this as the second round in the movement of gay husbands to 'come out' to their wives and loved ones. The first movement began with Queer Eye Fab 5, to follow BrokeBack Mountain. Now I'm seeing a surge in husbands wanting to come out of the closet and we owe much thanks to people like Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis of Flipping Out.

"Watch What Happens Live, was envisioned as a 12-week test of a format that Bravo has long wanted: a live, topical talk show. The channel’s reality shows already generate “so much water cooler conversation,” Mr. Cohen said. Why not host some of that conversation on Bravo? Great job, Andy, and thanks for making my Gay Husbands support group feel comfortable.

Why Gay Marriage Matters in America?

Why Gay Marriage Matters?
By Dennis Schleicher
Our freedom-to-marry in my mind is the same as all civil rights struggles that have taken place in the USA. Our civil rights struggle has been about taking seriously our country’s promise to be a nation its citizens can be proud of. Our right to marriage has a lot to do with not hiding or setting us as different, gay, ill, or not normal. Gay’s often feel like a largely invisible and highly vilified minority. The last civil rights struggle left.
Equality is a question of our civil rights to live in a nation under God as one.
The true reason so many of the wives married to gay husbands have there would destroyed when the truth is reveled about one’s so called straight married life is due to our own federal government’s homophobia. America’s promise of equality for same-sex couples would put an end to the suffering of thousands of men and wives of gay men who attend my support groups, blogs, call in talk-shows, stopping the sales of my best-selling memoir; Forbidden Love with a Married Man; E-mail Diaries. I guess it would be considered a classic. LOL. That would be fine by me seeing first hand the destructive effects of all the shattered wives, lives and grooms I’ve worked with over the years.
Do you think the federal government will officially recognize same-sex marriages???
To learn more about what's being done to educate people to actively support this legislation, visit http://www.freedomtomarry.org/. Working together we all must stand strong put and end to homophobia.

Oprah's Book Club, Why Read?

"Whenever I begin reading a new book from a fellow author, I am embarking on a new, uncharted journey with an unmarked destination. I will never know where a particular author's book and genre will take me, toward what other books I will be led to read and review in the future."
